This is a little collection of about 250 icons - each one being a flag. I have included the flags of all the World's countries ( as of 1994 ), the International Flag Code, the flags of quite a few dependencies, and flags of some international organisations. As well as being pasteable, these icons also form a powerful reference tool. To supplement the icons, if you do a "get info" on a country's flag, you will see the country's capital and its population under the "version" field of the window.
The great thing about these icons is that they are designed to look as well on Black and White monitors as on 256-colour monitors. This is achieved by placing alternative icons in ICNS resources of tiny application programs. The applications themselves serve no other purpose - they do not actually do anything if double-clicked.
*Please note* In the B & W version of the icons, the shades of grey do not always correspond to a single colour, but vary for each icon.
Please feel free to send me your comments and, if you notice any mistakes, please write and tell me so that I can fix them !
My thanks go to Malcolm Johnston, who drew several of these icons while I had a rest.
